Melbet in two minutes
Melbet is a Sports and Casino site. In Nigeria, it is operated by two different companies and consequently has different features.
melbet.ng is the licensed one. A Nigerian company, Otrada Hospitality Limited, runs it under a Lagos licence, and its casino, live tables, TV games and virtual sports all work in naira. Deposits start at ₦50. The weak spot is the payout clause: the terms give Melbet up to 90 working days to pay a withdrawal and let it extend that.
melbet.com is the global site. It loads from Lagos without redirecting, shows its bonuses in naira and runs a crypto cashier with Litecoin in the list. Its licence comes from Curaçao, and no Nigerian state has licensed it. So with Melbet you choose between a local licence and Litecoin; you do not get both on one site.
What works
- melbet.ng is on the Lagos register until December 2027
- Naira deposits from ₦50, one of the lowest floors we list
- Litecoin on melbet.com, with no fee charged by Melbet
- The melbet.ng help page names the Lagos complaints portal and phone line
- Aviator, crash games, TV games and live tables from Pragmatic Play and Ezugi
- Apps for iPhone, Android and Huawei
What does not
- No crypto on the licensed site
- Terms allow up to 90 working days for a payout
- Litecoin only through a Curaçao-licensed site
- Naira payment methods hidden until you sign up
- A naira account on melbet.com costs 5 to 6% on crypto conversion, by Melbet's own count
- Self-exclusion and limits only by e-mail

The remainder of this review will follow the above distinction. Sections on licenses, naira, bonus, and responsible gambling pertain to melbet.ng, as it is Melbet that has been licensed by Lagos. The section on Litecoin pertains to melbet.com, as that is where the coins are. Our link is to melbet.ng.
Is Melbet legal? The Lagos licence and the Curaçao one
melbet.ng has a more recent Lagos license and older licenses. melbet.com has no licenses for Nigeria.
What melbet.ng holds
The footer reads: "Melbet.ng is owned and operated by Otrada Hospitality Limited which operates under Sports Betting and Casino license No LSLGA/OP/OSB/MBO21222, RC No 1589556, dated December 2, 2022, issued by the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority." The Lagos register lists the same company and brand for online sports betting and online casino, with a current term from 2 December 2026 to 2 December 2027 as printed.
The about page adds the older licences: a casino licence from the Oyo State Gaming Board dated 1 April 2021 and a sports betting licence from the National Lottery Regulatory Commission dated 2 November 2020. It also dates the Lagos licence 2 December 2024, where the footer says 2022. Both point to the same licence number.
What melbet.com holds
"melbet.com is operated by Pelican Entertainment B.V., a company incorporated under the laws of Curaçao ... licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Control Board ... under license number OGL/2024/561/0554." Two Cyprus companies act as its payment agents. It is not on the Lagos register. It is not on the Lagos list of illegal operators either; Stake.com is.
Otrada Hospitality Limited, the company that owns the Melbet brand in Nigeria, also has a sports betting license.
The Oyo State Gaming Board issues its casino licence.
The Lagos licence date in the melbet.ng footer.
melbet.ng opens its online casino, according to its about page.
Curaçao grants melbet.com's operator its current licence.
melbet.ng is licensed in Lagos, and is not on the Illicit-Operators List.
What this means for you: on melbet.ng, a dispute Melbet will not settle can go to the Lagos authority, and the site's own help page gives you its portal and phone number. On melbet.com you have the Curaçao regulator instead. Our guides on how to check a Lagos licence and crypto gambling law state by state explain the difference.
How fast Melbet pays out: the 90-day clause
melbet.ng prints no payout time on a public page. What it prints is a deadline, and it is a long one.
Section 5.7 of the melbet.ng terms reads: "Payment of the Winnings is made no later than 90 working days from the moment the Bettor requests the withdrawal of funds." It adds that the period may be extended in some cases, and that Melbet "has the right to unilaterally decide on payment". That does not mean every payout takes months. It means that if one does, the terms are on Melbet's side. Compare the 15 minutes printed on 1xBet's Nigerian site.
Three more clauses shape your withdrawal. Money goes back only "to the same account from which funds paid into the Bettor's account originated". You may only use your own card; a card in someone else's name can void your bets and balance unless you prove you may use it. And the minimum and maximum amounts "may be increased" or "reduced" for any method without notice.
One clause deserves plain words. If Melbet decides to stop taking your bets, it may keep a fee of up to 30% of all your deposits "for organizing and conducting the betting". Keep that in mind before you deposit large sums.
Handling tax in terms is unusual, and the information in section 5.13 says MelBet has the right to withhold commissions, taxes and fees, in accordance with the laws of Nigeria. Withholding tax on Nigerian residents’ net winnings is 5%, which the Lagos State Government communicated to licensed operators to start charging from February 2026. See our article on the taxation of gambling winnings for details.
Melbet and Litecoin: what melbet.com offers
MelBet uses Litecoin, and it is available on MelBet’s Crypto page. There are two Litecoin tips available on the page.
The page headline features Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and BNB. Other Cryptocurrencies available are Tether (on 8 networks), Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum (on 3 networks), BNB, Dogecoin, Dash, Solana, USD Coin (on 5 networks), Ethereum Classic, Bitcoin Cash, Chainlink and Shiba Inu.
| Question | What melbet.com says |
|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | "1 USDT to 15 USDT, depending on the network" |
| Fee | "0% fee charged by MelBet"; the network fee is yours |
| Verification to deposit | Not required |
| Verification to withdraw crypto | "may be required" |
| Account currency | "To avoid additional conversion fees (5-6%), select USD" |
| Wrong address or network | "the funds cannot be returned" |
The currency tip is the one to act on. melbet.com shows naira to a Lagos visitor, and a naira account converts every coin at a cost Melbet itself puts at 5 to 6%. If you do open a melbet.com account for Litecoin, pick USD at sign-up. The Litecoin minimum is not printed on the public page; it shows in the cashier after sign-up. Our Litecoin to naira page helps you check the value of what arrives.
First, in their advertising, they say that cryptocurrency is “anonymous” and “no annoying checks.” However, they will require verification when you cash out. Additionally, the Curaçao website is melbet.com. The licensed site is melbet.ng. Litecoin is also available on 1xBet and BC.Game.
Paying Melbet in naira on melbet.ng
The licensed site keeps its method list inside the account. The limits, though, are written into the terms.
| Limit | Amount | Where it is written |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | ₦50 | Terms 5.4 |
| Maximum deposit | ₦5,000,000 | Terms 5.4 |
| Minimum withdrawal | ₦1,000 | Terms 5.6 |
| Maximum withdrawal | ₦25,000,000 per request | Terms 5.6 |
| Bonus qualifying deposit | ₦2,000 | Sports bonus rules |
As stated in the terms, card deposits are irrevocable. The about page states that funds are processed through “electronic payment systems.” These systems can be found by logging into your account. Additionally, the registration process for the website requires that you input a Nigerian phone number.
A ₦50 deposit is a good minimum and the ₦1,000 cash out minimum is standard. Always deposit with a card that is in your name.
The Melbet welcome bonus on melbet.ng
Receive 150% of your first deposit, up to ₦250,000.
Deposit at least ₦2,000, fill in every profile field, and the offer appears under Offers, then Sports. You have 24 hours to activate it and 7 days to wager it. Melbet's own example: a ₦50,000 deposit brings a ₦75,000 bonus.
Three rules decide whether the bonus is worth it. Wagering runs on your real money first, so your deposit is at risk before the bonus is. Each bet may not exceed the bonus amount, and the same event in two slips only counts once. And any withdrawal request before you finish cancels the bonus. The most you can move to your main balance at the end is ₦250,000.
melbet.com shows its own offers to a Lagos visitor: up to ₦320,000 on sports, or a casino package of up to ₦2,990,000 and 290 free spins. Those belong to the Curaçao site, and the casino terms did not load for us, so they are not scored here. The crypto casino bonuses page lists offers that do work with crypto.
Melbet games: crash, TV games and live tables
The sportsbook is complemented by a casino, which has several live dealer games.
The casino lobby opens on a "Most liked" row of Aviator, a Melbet-branded "Crasher", Golden RA, Plinko X and Skyward, under a 3 Oaks tournament banner. Tabs split slots into Classic, Egyptian, Fruits, Fantasy, Luxury and Animals, and the studio filter starts with Foxi, Spribe, Galaxsys, SmartSoft and Pragmatic Play. The about page claims "more than 1000 casino games and slots".
Live casino runs Imagine Live, Pragmatic Play, Ezugi and LuckyStreak tables: roulette, baccarat, blackjack and game shows. TV games come from Betgames and TVBet (Wheelbet, Wheel of Fortune, Lucky 6, Dice Duel), and there are virtual sports, Keno Express and a Telegram bot for placing bets. Our crash games guide covers Aviator and its copies.

Signing up at Melbet, KYC and the app
Registration on melbet.ng takes a mobile number. melbet.com offers a shortcut.
melbet.ng's registration page lists what it asks for: your mobile number, a password, an optional promo code, your e-mail, a captcha check, and a tick to confirm you are 18 and accept the terms. The bonus then needs every profile field filled in.
On KYC, the terms call your identity "of essential importance" for paying winnings. Expect a request for proof that your card or payment account is yours. melbet.com, for its part, says crypto deposits need no checks but crypto withdrawals may.
melbet.com's one-click form, shown here, needs only a country and a currency. It ended in a slider captcha when we submitted it with bonuses rejected. The apps are "Melbet Nigeria" on the App Store, an APK on melbet.ng for Android, and a Huawei AppGallery listing.

Is Melbet safe? Complaints and support
melbet.ng does something few sites do: it prints the regulator's complaint details on its own help page.
Support on melbet.ng is live chat around the clock and e-mail to info@melbet.ng. If that fails, the responsible gambling page sends you to the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority: the complaint portal at lslga.org/complaint, support@lslga.org and +234 808 052 5752. It also names the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission as a second route. The footer links a data-protection audit filing with the national data regulator.
Those are real routes, and they make melbet.ng the safer of the two Melbets by a distance. The 90-working-day clause and the 30% fee clause are the counterweight: the rules give Melbet a lot of room before a regulator would call a delay a breach. melbet.com's footer gives a UK phone number and points complaints to Curaçao.
Responsible gambling at Melbet and where to get help
The tools exist on melbet.ng, but you ask for them by e-mail. The helplines below are independent of any casino.
melbet.ng offers daily, weekly and monthly deposit and loss limits, time limits, your gaming history and self-exclusion, temporary or permanent. To set a limit or exclude yourself, you e-mail info@melbet.ng. Once in place, a restriction cannot be reversed until its period ends, and getting back in afterwards also needs an e-mail; a phone call is not accepted. The page warns that requests can take longer during big football tournaments, so send yours early.
Its self-test asks whether you find it hard to control your spending, whether you have borrowed or lied to fund gambling, and whether you chase losses. One yes is enough reason to use the lines below.
Gamble Alert: +234 916 295 7989 (24/7), toll-free +234 705 889 0073. MANI: 0809 111 6264.
Free, confidential helplines. You must be 18 or older to gamble.
Verdict: who Melbet suits
melbet.ng is a properly licensed naira sportsbook with a casino, a ₦50 deposit floor and the Lagos complaint route printed on its own pages. On a site about Litecoin, that is only half the story, because the licensed Melbet shows no crypto at all.
The Litecoin half lives on melbet.com, under Curaçao, with a naira account that costs 5 to 6% on conversion unless you switch to USD. Add a payout clause that allows 90 working days, and Melbet lands below 1xBet, which offers a licence and Litecoin on the same site.
The sportsbook offers virtual (simulators) and cash (crash) games, and bets in the Naira.
You want to bet and get payouts in Litecoin.
